Hobermans

Scott Hoberman grew up in Skokie Illinois and went to Skokie Yeshiva for high school, followed by two years at Yeshivat Shaalvim.  He’s been at Yeshiva University ever since, attending Rabbi Hershel Schachter’s shiur for three years and majoring in math. He is now in his fourth year of semicha at RIETS and is currently procrastinating studying for his second actuary exam.

While he’s not solving equations or learning, Scott is an avid sports fan, rooting for his hometown Chicago teams and playing fantasy football.  Scott enjoys giving shiurim, learning bchavrusa, and just hanging out with people, so he’s very excited to spend time at Rutgers this year and getting to know the students.

Sara grew up in Teaneck, NJ. After spending a year at MMY in Israel, Sara attended Stern College doing a shaped major in Biology and Psychology.Sara currently is finishing up her second bachelors at NYU’s nursing school and is really excited to be a nurse. Sara enjoys coffee, cooking and talking to people!

Sara and Scott are looking forward to being involved in Rutgers OU-JLIC this year!
